However my turtle is too large and heavy so I had to modify the turtle dock using stainless steel L-brackets, stainless steel screws, rope, and aquarium silicone. My turtle loves it though and there is plenty of room for him to soak in the light and swim around underneath. I highly recommend it unless the turtle is too big, then I am at a loss as to what to use unless you modify this thing. They should come out with an X-large version and extra suction cups. The suction cups I had were beaked into useless nubs of rubber.

Troy F from Nevada says: The dock works ok. I also have a big tutle, and the suction cups don't hold very well. It worked well with my littler turtles. The plus is that it is big enough that when my big turtle does get on it, his whole body fits and he can bask under the lights. But it doesn't stay as high above the water as I would like, and sometimes the turtle isn't able to get his back feet entierly out of the water.

Janet D from Maine says: My turtles love the dock, we just have a problem because they are so big and heavy. (They are 35 and 36 years old) Bigger suction cups might solve the problem. Now I have to put a real rock under it to keep it attached, which annoys the smaller turtle who likes to go under the dock.

Carole Y from Florida says: I have used this turtle dock on my outside pond. The turtles seem to love it. Most of the time they hide under it to sleep and protect themselves. When the sun is shinning on the pond, they crawl up on it to sun bath. I also have rocks and shells, but the turtles seem to like this dock much better.
